Name Graphics Tutorial
1. I use Paint SHop Pro for my graphics, so it would be good if you had it too. When I was taking requests for the heart names, someone sent in "how to make your own names". So figured it would be good to make a tutorial on how you can make your own cool name graphics.
2. This is my tutorial, not yours. Don't steal it. Credit if it helps you. =)
3. If you have any questions, use the ask and answer script.
There is no set way to do it, and it's actually pretty easy. It would work best if you have some prior knowledge of PSP.
So let's get started!
1. In PSP, make a new image of about....500x500. We're making it big so that we can have enough room.
2. Go to your brushes, and just pick one that you would like to have next to your name. If you need some brushes, visit the credits page. Those are the sites that I've gotten brushes and stuff from. I picked a flower brush.
3. Now, choose a color, and edit the brush size..then just stamp it onto your blank image.
4. Now, click the text tool and type your text. Choose whatever font you want, color, etc. If you want multi-colored text, go right ahead. I'm gonna do blue and pink text. Once you've typed it, move it next to your brush.
5. Press Ctrl + A, then click in the center of your graphic. Once it's selected, add some effects to it. It can be Eye Candy, Inner Bevel, Artistic Effects, or the text effect tutorial. I'm using the Aqua setting in Artistic Effects.
6. Go to Selections>>Modify>>Expand. The number of pixels should be 2. Hit okay. Click on the fill tool, and select the foreground color to white. The blend mode (it's right at the top next to opacity) should be "Paint Behind". Then, click on your graphic. The back of the graphic should be white.
7. Go to Effects>>3D Effects>>Drop Shadow. Your settings should be as follows: Vertical: 1 ; Horizontal: 2 ; Opacity: 100 ; Blur: 9.90. The color should be #202020. Click on the little color box after "Color", and where it says "HTML:" put in #202020. Click okay, then okay again to be done.
8. Press Ctrl + A, then click in the center of your graphic. Copy it, then paste it as a new image. Save it and your done! PS: Make sure you save it in .png format if you want to keep the transparent background. =)
